Welcome: The Durnovaria Silver Band is a vibrant and progressive brass band, based in Dorchester (known by the Romans as Durnovaria), the County Town of Dorset, England. The Band was founded in 1936 and has been delighting local audiences ever since, playing a wide variety of music at numerous local events throughout the year. We extend a warm welcome to guests, visitors and any potential new members.

DSB Spring Concert
“Wow,” “What a great evening,” “All my guests thoroughly enjoyed it” “Band sounded super”
Just some of the feedback received from our audience at our sold-out Spring concert at the United Church, Dorchester last night.
DSB and our guests The Quangle Wangle Choir provided a wonderful mixture of varied music to entertain everyone. The Band played music ranging from traditional marches, music from the West End, fun popular items and original brass band compositions.
One effused concert goer commented that they didn’t realise what a great brass band Dorchester has nor that it could play such a wonderful wide variety of music.
